These are always the hardest cards to make. However, having lost my parents a few years back (2008 & 2009), I know that heartfelt cards can bring some peace and healing to those who receive them.
This is a simple but elegant card that I recently made for a meeting swap. The edges were masked off using post-it notes. The ink colors used are MINT MACARON (bottom–#138326), RICH RAZZLEBERRY (middle–#126950) and MARINA MIST (top–#126962) by using a baby wipe dipped into the ink pad and “swiping” the color back and forth until the center was filled in to my liking (you can go as light or as dark with this as you like).
The corresponding markers (the thicker end) was flicked using the inside of the cap that splattered the spots onto the card and envelope flap.
