Inquiring minds want to know…

Where do you get your ideas for your cards? This is a question that I get quite often.

One of the greatest ways to get ideas is by attending our monthly team meeting. This is where demos bring ideas to share by demonstrating a certain technique,

A great way for customers to learn new techniques and create beautiful cards is by attending a card buffet. My next card buffet will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. I would LOVE to have you attend.

Stampin’ Up! manages a blog that demos and customers can follow to learn different techniques as well. Stampin’ Up! also utilizes YouTube to bring creativity to life.

When doing dishes one night, the realization hit that if I could blow bubbles and have it make a cool design on a platter that I had hand-painted, I could do the same with paper.

Simply combine bubble-blowing solution with Stampin’ Up! ink, take a straw and gently blow bubbles onto your paper. Let the bubbles pop gradually to create your design. Allow the paper to completely dry before stamping. Here are cards that were created utilizing this bubble-blowing technique.

As a team, we get together for an annual Christmas party. We have exchanged gift tags, gift card holders and thank you notes in the past as our swap. Also, if you wish to participate in a gift exchange, the rule that you must follow is the item must utilize Stampin’ Up! products. Below you will see a gift card holder and a number of gifts that were exchanged at such an event. It is always wonderful to see the awesome creativity exhibited.

Lastly, a great resource for getting ideas is to search on Pinterest. The search feature is great and really easy to use. All you need to do is type in the name of a particular Stampin’ Up! stamp set and you are inundated with dozens of ideas for cards and projects to make. You can also search for ideas of some of your favorite things, such as Stampin’ Up! Hello Kitty. Pinterest will give you great ideas for these items as well.

If interested in learning techniques and creating six cards for $15, please come to my card buffet. Leave a note in the comments section below if you wish to attend so I can send you my address and have enough products ready for the event.
