Happy 2021!

Instead of doing my usual New Year’s greeting about promising to work more on blogging, I just thought I would post the fun cards that I have been making as of late!

I miss not being able to host card buffets. I miss seeing everyone’s smiling faces…hopefully we can put this pandemic behind us and start being able to gather together again. Are you planning on getting the vaccine when you are eligible? I sure plan on doing so!

Here is a card that I recently created.

The good things in life are better with you!

The base is Smoky Slate Cardstock that is cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″; scored at 4 1/4″.

I fell in LOVE two winters ago with the Feels Like Frost 6 x 6 Specialty Designer Series paper (now retired) cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″. I was thrilled when it came back this past holiday catalog so I could buy a few more packs.

I added a little Vellum Cardstock cut at 1 1/4 x 5 1/4″. I had scraps of paper lying around in Gorgeous Grape and Purple Posy that was cut using the Butterfly Duet punch after stamping in Gorgeous Grape ink.

The sentiment comes from the Butterfly Gala stamp set stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink. Cutting with Stitched Shape Dies, then popped up with Dimensionals.

I had a few more cut butterflies, so I put theme into the inside cover to carry the them to the inside of the card.
